Default World Champs - DH Results are In!!!

Check out the footy on http://www.freecaster.com. High drama in the Italian Alps as Steve Peat, Fabien Barel, Gee Atherton, and Sam Hill battle for championship gold.

I woke up and took a look before heading out to Mt. Wilson and caught Peaty's run live and it turned me into an emotional wreck as I watched the 6 remaining riders drop into the course with Peat in the hot seat. See how it unfolds for yourself!

I think they only had the top three runs up now. I did see the last 12 or so riders live and then the whole 4x event.

I caught the 4x. The men's final was a real heartbreaker. Women's final was good. Go USA!

Yeah the 4x Mens Final was over instantly. There were some serious battleing in some of those races. The one guy from the US (cant remember his name) took out two guys in one run

The Downhill was a shock really. I couldn't believe what happened.

Wow! Thanks for the link...great video...what a gnarly course and insane speed! ...and how about the Robin Hood hats on the security!?...shouldn't make fun, tho...probably the Italian equivalent of the Green Beret.

...watched a few more vids -- great stuff, but that one freecaster commentator's a little over the top -- going hoarse from yelling! I did like his line: Peaty's "done for dH what the Egyptians did for construction".

Yeah, but the UCI requires a skin suit for the Worlds.

BTW, WHO CALLED THE RACE!!!
Worlds DH Practice: Day#2

Sure, I was off by a few seconds, but at least I called the winner

You should send Sam a thank you card. Sam lost the race more the Gee won. Sad part was he could have cruised that last bit and still won by a few seconds.

Its one thing to lose when you push when you have to but to find out you could have cruised and won and you crashed would hurt so much more.

Default It's mandatory...

The lycra is mandatory per UCI rules (for the world champs). They all hate running it with the exception of a few choice Euros.

Takin' fools out was Ross Milan of Yeti/Fox. He was really agressive all day and pounded his way into the small finals only to have his front tire taken out!!!!

Big finals in 4X saw a major upset when, yet another French rider, took out Yeti/Fox's Jared Graves and a Spainard took advantage of the choas and took the champs.

Did you guys see Sam Hill's RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF!!!!!!!!!!

I had to go back and watch is just to see the man. I couldn't belive how fast Hill was rocketing down that...er'...hill!!!

I'm still in shock.

Nobody believed me when I mentioned that those Sunday's have some cornering issues. If only Hill was on a bike up to par with the rider.

Although to be fair, the Sunday's that Hill rides are nothing like what is available to consumers.

I think it was twice that actually. He took almost 10 seconds to get back on the bike and going.

Sam hill is the man on any bike. That's why I love racing, The fastest guy isn't always the "luckiest guy" Not to take anything away from Gee's run. the sunday does seem to "float" over anything Hill put it through though. My fist still hurts for slamming it on the table.
