Default 12 Hours/Temecula - Checklist/What to bring?!

Hey gang,

Tomorrow is the big day! I'm about to start getting my stuff together, but I'm wondering what you guys bring with you to keep you occupied for 12 hours!

I'm on a 4-person team so I'll only be riding 2-3 laps.

I'm planning on a big ice chest with sandwiches, chips, *cough* beer *cough*, that kind of thing. MP3. Magazine. A few gals. of water.

My usual bike stuff (compact tools, camelbak, etc).

I have no EZ-up, and neither does anyone on the team I don't think.

What else do you like to have with you?

Start off by giving your team a cell phone number so they can find you at the race.

Hey Sean. So your getting ready, that's a good sign. Bring all your bike tools, spare tubes, water, chair, water. I don't know. I just throw a bunch of stuff in the car and make due.

Some extra socks and riding shirt, maybe another pair of riding shorts but I never use them. Clothes to change into after the race. Some deodorant.

Oh, ok. I just called that number a few minutes ago. Didn't know that was your cell. What time you planning to show up. Brent and I are riding together and should roll in about 7:15 am.

Now that's a lot of stuff. I don't think I could eat all that all weekend long and I'm a clydes. 3 Sets of lights? You do realize this is a 12 hour not 24 right.
And we should see about a 1/2 hour of dark.

I have one good light and one cheap one. Both have had problems since last Dec. One I plugged in and it never turned on. The ballast was jacked. The other, Justin crashed and wound up cutting the battery cord.

You never know what might happen!

It's a lot of food, but I won't be eating it all. Just want to have a mix of stuff. I've never done one of these with a team, much less solo. So, I'd rather go home full than wind up going, "Oh crap, I don't have that. Oh man, I wish I had this.."

Yep, that was you. You were going a bit slower but I imagine you had more laps under your belt at that point. That was only my 2nd.
