Default Calling all Expert 45-49 XC Racers

We need more racers at upcoming events. The field sizes for this class have been embarrassingly small at the last few races. I know this class is stacked at the top with riders who usually put up some of the top expert times, regardless of age, and winning or even making a podium is not likely for mere mortals. However, there's still fun and camaraderie to be had, races within the race, and the chance to test your fitness.

The Rim Nordic Series is starting soon. These are really fun races; come out a give 'm a try. There's also three more races in the Team Big Bear series.

There's a lot of great racers out there like Johnny Dalton, Eddie Arnet, David Stowell, Perry Burtch, Regis Gagnon, and Bruce Wilson to name a few. You guys have all beaten me before, so just 'cause you might never beat Johnny O, doesn't mean can't come out and have some fun competition. Hope to see you guys at the starting line soon.

John, Thanks for the shout out. I've been giving some of the longer races a shot this year - since, like you so aptly put it, Johnny, Bobby, and the rest of the cast and crew of the 45+ (like you) are pretty stinking unbeatable.

I'm doing 12-hours at Temecula a go tomorrow...should be quite an experience. If O'mara shows up, I think I'll try BMX, or fishing.

The Rim Nordic S/S classes are pretty serious. I've seen some very impressive lap times come out of that class. You'd do well, Eric.

Johnny,
Good luck at Temecula. I heard you put down one of the fastest times for the Traverse.

Where do you find the time to train for those marathons? I can barely find enough to be a mid-pack XC racer.

Ugh, 12-hour racing isn't for me. Guess golf or fishing is next. Maybe just watch golf or fishing on TV for a week.
