Default Claremont

If anyone else is interested, some friends and I will be skipping our road training ride and opting to ride at th Claremont Wilderness Park tomorrow. We're meeting at the top of Indian Hill Blvd at 5:30 p.m. And uh...bring your climbing s#@t.

I think the park is closed due to fire danger. You could do Marshall instead.

If you want to check, call Claremont Communty Services Dept @ 909.399.5431

Are you talking about the signs warning about a planned 3 (partial)day closure?

I was talking about the lock on the gate!

I'm supposed to be doing a ride with a few people from Coates a little after 6:30. I believe we're doing Marshall then over to the Claremont Wilderness Park. I've never ridden either place, and no one told me anything about climbing. #%@ers.

Both places are fun, but there's climbing on the Claremont side

Are you really meeting atop Indian Hill? Not Mills?

Personally, I will be starting at Mills, then meeting the others at a park at Indian Hill.

There are lots of ways to sneak in, Johnson's Pasture might be the easiest - park on town, follow the fire road past the church and go up.

Were you part of the trio that was coming back down at the golf course a little after 7pm?

You were right. Despite being plagued by mechanicals, I had a kool-aid grin throughout most of the ride. The little water crossings and the night view was a treat.
