Default Ironman Arizona

So Ironman Arizona is basically taking place in my backyard this weekend. And I literally mean right outside my place as I live on Tempe Town Lake where the swim is.

Its pretty awesome, that my own training stomping grounds is hosting an Ironman this Sunday.

A couple guys and girls on our ASU Cycling and Triathlon Team are competing in Ironman this Sunday. I have been doing some of their workouts, besides a couple runs.

All this week there have been tons of Athletes from all over the world in Tempe. The streets are filled $4000 bikes and athletes getting there last rides and runs in.

I'm taking part these couple days working in the Kayaks for the practice swims and race day. I will also work the finish, where the emotions of accomplishment truely come out.

This past week Tempe has really changed and closed down just for Ironman.

I will try and take pics during the race.
All of this Ironman has got me thinking about IMAZ 09. Reg starts Monday, so we'll see......

Matt, I wish I was your age. I'd be so into that. I love tri's. I'm just so freekin slow in the water. Funny, I grew up surfing a lot and we used to race the lifeguards on try out day and we would beat them all. Now I just sink. Please give us your Tri report.

Was no marathon. Triathlon, and I mentioned the town will be crowded. haha. I did pretty good. It was hard being in Havasu just for racing purposes only... so much to do.....
