Default xc races coming up?

i cant seem to find any xc races coming up in the next month or two. i want to do some other races with lots of climbing prior to doing the traverse. can you guys think of anything?

You probably won't find any races with a bunch of climbing locally. There are XC races, but those don't have a ton of climbing.

Why pay for short races if you want to do endurance? Just go out and train for free.

^ good point. i could just ride local trails at race intensity. on a scale of 1-10, how hard is the traverse?

Also, the nationals at Fontana and up in Solvang. Plus, Sea Otter, Keyesville, etc...

try doing the big bear series xc the races are all over you will meet great people. I am finding that doing a series will make you commit to training and improve on your times.

Yes! I'll be doing Team Big Bear So-Cal State Cross Country & Super D series. Other than CC this will be my first race since 1995! There are 8 races in the series and the first race is this Sunday at Bonelli Park, San Dimas.
