Totolly agree. Long sustained climbs take more out of your legs than most think. If you don't hydrate and take suppliments, cramps are inevitable.

sat. was weird. when i did the 12hr at vail solo, i rode from 9am to 8:55 pm and never had one cramp. i rode 90 miles and had 13,000ft of elev..the most i ever stopped was 5 min. and on the VQ i started to cramp at mile 11. i did the same food and supplement routine i always do. i don't know what happened.

When you find some...let me know where so I can go looking. I have come up empty for a solo entry at either granny or adrenlin events due to their cost. I did the pueblo twice solo.

nope that wasn't it. i did plenty of training rides with long climbs. i actually love climbing hills.

There will be a link to the pictures taken in the Pow Wow Write up that comes out this week. I did notice that there were not pictures of everyone that finished this year when looking thru them...apparently not everyone went over to the photographer to get their picture taken afte they went thru the finish line....and then the finish line pictures were just an added feature from some of the local photographers offering up their skills to take some fun candid pics and post them....I am not sure if the pics are going to download slow or not when they are on the web site....everything downloads SLOW with my computer so I wouldn't know any better.

I did it both years. I even managed to lift my Dos above my head after CC last year. Not so much this year...
