Lopes races Cyclocross

Looks like Brian is expanding his racing. Here's an update from his website:

FRESNO CYCLE-CROSS: Video

This past Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008 in the friendly town of Fresno, Brian decided that he would try his luck at Cycle-cross. So he borrows a bike from JP Sickler an avid cyclist and promoter of the local annual event and jumps on the track to warm up. Feeling pretty good he gets on the start line for the 11 lap race, each lap averaging about 6:15 minutes, Brian stayed in the lead for most of the race along with Keith DeFiebre, Steve Ray & Sam Ames. Then in the last lap Steve Ray took the lead but hit his pedal, boggling him just enough to let Brian take the lead and holding it to the finish line! What a nice surprise.

Want to thank everyone involved with the race; JP & crew, Sportsmobile/Fresno's Alan Feld for sponsoring the event & supporting cycling. Hilride/Nat and Rachael for creating the bike park. And most of all, the local KIDS...for cheering Brian on and meeting us at the park for some riding the next day!!
