Sustained Energy...FREE to whoever wants it

When I was making my foray into energy drinks a couple months ago, I bought some packets of Sustained Energy and Perpetuem to try (both are Hammer products). I prefer the Perpetuem after trying both.

I still have 3 packets (2 scoops in each) of Sustained Energy that I'm willing to give to whoever wants them. I can mail them to you or I can bring them to the Fontana race this weekend. Just want to share the love....

Just to toss another idea at ya, I have been using a product from BioTest called "SPIKE". Although the name would imply a quick shot of energy, it actually hits slower then you would expect and last a good 4 or 5 hours (will very between users). Comes in either a drink or capsules. I prefer the liquid as it hits you faster.

The problem I have with it is I NEED to remind my self to eat on days I do use it because it does act as a hunger suppressant. At least for me.

Kind of hard to eat solids regularly when you are doing a long endurance ride (i.e. VQ). I would prefer to eat solid calories but...

is the the stuff, or do you use the energy drink itself?
looks kinda interesting... but it does work as far as giving you energy??

just kidding, i re read your post... so it takes 4-5 hours to work?

I use the liquid and no, not 4 or 5 hours to work, it lasts that long once it kicks it which is about 5min.

Where did you find packets?

I've been stuffing the scoops into a baggie and carrying it around. Get strange looks, too, when I stop, pull out a baggie of white power, and pour it into my water bottle

You can get it in the containers of like 16 servings or you can get like 8 single serving packets. More bang for the buck buying the 16 serving jug.

If nobody else wants the packets I will take them. I got a whole jug, but hey, I can never refuse somthing that is free!

oh ok thanks for the clarification.... i wonder if the pills works as well..?
maybe ill have my parents buy some for me to test out

just looked it up, the cans would work better since they contain 1000mg of the spike formula, whereas the pills contain only 437 mg
maybe just take 2 pills to get the same effect

one of these days ill have to give some of these products i keep hearing about a try. right now i use water then maybe some more water and when i get home i sometimes drink some propel or just more water. lol

You really should. I swear by the Hammer products. Plus, they have AWESOME customer service. Propel? Hardly a nutritious drink with all the fake sugar and stuff. At least use some Elete drops or some non-sugar electrolyte in your water

oh i almost forgot to ask... someone on here mentioned justin gave them a "magic" white capsule that made them finish a ride...
does anyone know if it was the hammer capsules? im drawing a blank oh wait, theyre called hammer endurolytes... how do they work?
i checked the price and they cost $30 a bottle

Yes they were Endurolytes. Pretty much the same premise as SportLegs.

I have only seen it at nutrition stores. The liquid can be bought as a single can or a four pack. You can get a case of 24 for 40$ direct from BioTest since most stores charge a bit over 2$ a can.
