What is his number plate? (I know, just look for the banana coming right at me.)

My money is on Zach. I've used a 12-24 lens so many times now that I'm used to close calls.

Default Sharky & Drew

Here's a couple shots of Sharky and Drew scrambling. The photos would be funny if you couldn't tell how close that rider came to really getting hurt.

I circled the scary part and tried to give you a close up so you can see how bad of a wreck that could have been.

I asked them to double check my time and I guess they did....but 2:23 seemed alittle off to me, Oh well.... I'll just have to go harder in two weeks

I'll be sure and tell banana boy you said that. At least he didn't look like a cupcake like the guy in the polk-a-dots! His number is 57X

Awesome reports and pics everyone. The crashes were nuts. What really kicks is that I realized after checking the results I didn't knock 2 minutes off of my first XC race but nearly 5!!!!!! Sorry but I'm stoked! Thanks for all the support out there.

Mudman that was the coolest crash ever. How on earth did you do that? Are you okay?

Yea different people have different perceptions of what is fast and what is not. I seem to perceive myself going faster when I can pedal well (maybe my xc roots!), so I just have to suck it for now (until I get more fit) and race my light-weight Nomad. At the end of the day, it only matters what you think of your performance - whether you think you lived up to your own potential. I felt a lot faster in practice Saturday on my Nomad ... the rock garden was just as fast on both bikes, only it was a lot smoother on the Demo 8 for the most part. The rear end of the Nomad kicks up a lot in rock gardens. I ought to get a spring for the rear and ditch the whole air thing.

Sharky, Zack and I cracked up about that second shot. Too funny! I told him it's official - he is now and will forever more be known as "Banana Boy"!

Best course to date, more DH than super d/xc.
Sorry to hear about the carnage, its never good but then again its not a sewing club.
Broken back twice t7 middle of shoulder blades, ripped collar bone from sternum and most of the tendoins and muscles attaching to the skull, wrist etc...! But still wont quit!

a huge congrats to all who competed and den mother get better that sucks! Anyone who got knocked around get to feeling better as well, theres another race in 2 weeks!
to the beginers and anyone uncomfortable with the top rock garden, if you rode it wether slow or fast congrats! It wasnt beginner material so good going!
