JSlow told me about an endurance event at Bonelli Park. I did a bit of searching but came up empty. Anyone have any info on this? (Dates, good event/bad event, good beginner event)

I think a few years ago, there was a 24 Hours of Adrenalin there, but since then, the venue (for this area) has been Hurkey Creek.

I did the inaugural (and only) 24 hrs of LA there, back in say 2004 (I think). I didn't think much of the venue (never done an XC race there), and the promoter couldn't get enough people to sign up the next year so it was cancelled.

I remember it rained in the weeks prior to the race (it was in October), and that Vietnam place in the back did a number on my and many other drivetrains by the fourth or fifth lap. Then, you had that bastard of a climb over by the ten freeway to look forward to. I remember walking quite a bit on that final climb my last two laps.

Can't say I miss it.

They have 3 triatlon's scheduled this year on active.com.
