Been a while since an update. Haven't been racing, just riding and going through a 2 month core strength "kick-off" training regimen. Basically, ever 3-4 weeks, I'd have one session with a trainer to go through a routine, then I'd be on my own to do the work.

Today was measurement day:

Since March 20th, I’ve lost 8.31 lbs of fat, gained 11 lbs of muscle for a net loss of 4.7% body fat. Gained 2.7 lbs. Arms are 1.25” bigger, legs are 1.5 – 2.25” bigger, chest is 1.25” bigger. I can do 23 more crunches in a minute (up to 62 now) and I can stretch 3" closer to touching my toes than I used to.

I'm kinda stoked.

The best part is it's showing in my riding. I feel stronger and have a reserve of strength to tap when I need it.

I'll post up the workout routines later - They're actually entertaining, difficult and it would appear that they work.

Good job and great results. Who are you training with, if you don't mind me asking?????

Her name is Kimberly Brandt, she trains in the SF Bay Area at a couple of small clubs and at the corporate club where I work. She's a roadie who understands the unique demands that cyclists have and catered routines for that purpose. I asked for a little more chest work for moobie reduction and she added some good work for that.

Oh yeah, up till 3/20, I had been doing only cycling activities and had already lost 30 lbs, so this is all on top of that.

I'm pretty stoked today, so I'm going to go get some beer.
