Anyone else following La Ruta this year?
Two guys from work and another guy we know are racing it. Then Dicky. Jason Sager, Tinker Juarez, and Sho-Air's Manuel Prado! ![]() Photo from Canadian Cyclist. If you're interested in reading reports, JAC02000 on emptybeer has been posting daily reports of his race on the Endurance Racing forum, and Sager is posting up reports and a few photos on his blog. Both managers from work are in the top 100 overall, and in the top 15 for their class. |

Very cool. USA is well represented!! Found a photo of Dicky on day one, but haven't seen anyone I know otherwise. Who is the female that is racing for Sho-Air that is there?? |

Yup that's my teammate Lou. I'm hoping she'll have a good day 3, it's a very long 3 hr climb then a 30 mile DH. The first day her rear-D got caught up in the spokes so she lost alot of time.
Manny is doing awesome, top 10 after two days. I think Jason First might have had a mechanical or crash on day1 because his time should be much better. I didn't see Doug posted in the results after two days so hopefully he's still in it. |

Bad day for Manny today on stage 3 (from Cycling News):
"A lot of riders missed a crucial turn early on the downhill and lost varying amounts of time... Manny Prado (Sho Air-La Ruta) went in eighth and lost some 25 minutes, dropping to 21st." |

Not this year, Mario?
Kind of a bummer for my friend who sponsers Tinker. He paid for his airfare and a bunch of other stuff and still doesn't get mentioned in any credits. I think Tinker is in the top 10 again.

No. I hurt my knee at the Adrenalin World Solo Championships in Sept, tried to race 3 weeks later at the Hurkey Creek 8-hour and had to drop out after 5ish hours when I was in second...made it a little worse. So I couldn't train the way I wanted to before heading down there. The knee is ok now and I'll be down there next year.
You talking about Solo Tequila Mark? I haven't talked to him in a very long time. |
