An extra pair (or three) of gloves is also an excellent choice if you have them. This was especially true in June when the thermometer on my C-dale hit 107 (and just seemed to stay right there...). My gloves were soaked through in no time.

And don't forget the noise.

bring extra batteries. My buddy went out for a lap last november and his battery died. Took him almost 3 hours to finish the lap, well like 2 and a half or something. He did it without a light basically.

I spoke with a 'Jason' at NR yesterday and he said they would be out on Saturday with their fifth wheeler. I'm sure they will have batts and lights (for purchase, of course), but they were also charging up batts for folks last January as a free service.

Sweet, now if I can only talk my friend into piling everything in my truck. He has a small truck, but wants to take it because he has a generator in the back with an outlet so we can charge batteries. We have 5 batteries and if NR will be out there charging for free then we should take my bigger truck and save gas!

I will be there like around 5 probably, my buddys brother is doing the race with us, first race ever and he is only 14 so we are giving him a lap or two, get him excited so he gets more into racing. He gets out of schoool at llike 3 or so and we are picking him up and then heading down there. You said you are site 216? I am pretty sure we are at 218 right next to the big tree
