stay away from the Prince of Africa or his friend the African millionaire who inherited millions... saying that he will send you a $50,000.00 cashiers check etc.

I kind of did 03 F150....I listed it on eBay but the sale wasn't final until after the auction ended.....MAKE sure you list it accurate to the condition and stipulate(sp) all the shipping/transportaion info...purchase info...set a starting bid price(that is no lower then you would sell it for....a reserve price a litte higher to give you options and a Buy it now price at what you want to sell it for....it bacically cost me $60 (inc 12 pics)to list it and b/c the sale didn't conclude b/c the auction ended....I didn't have to pay the selling fee...also put in your add that the seller can end the auction at any time b/c the vehicle is list in other media places....

BTW I sold my truck for the BIN price....

does ebay help with set up of transport? or is that up to the buyer? also I heard they come and inspect your car so that the buyer can buy with confidence. Any of this true or am I smoking crack.

MAKE SURE you state BUYER responsible for shipping/transportation....must be an ugly rumor...they didn't look at mine....I will look fro my listing and PM it to you to look at or read a bunch of different listing on eBay motors to make sure YOU are cover from someone trying to scam you..

How much you selling for? I actually kinda dig them. Got to drive one when I was doing valet (just quit a few days ago).

Not sure yet but I will price it fair, I'm not in it to rip anyone off especially any one on this forum...if you are serious I can do some research and get back to you...

I'll probably have to stick with my car for now. I'd have to sell my car which I just purchased a year and a half ago if I were to look into getting another car. Good luck with the sale though.

I had my truck listed for 3-4 months in Truck Trader and got 2 calls....I listed it on eBay for a 5 day auction and very close to same price and it sold NO problem(5 people interested).....

on a sad side not I talked to the "new" owner and his kid wrecked it 4 days after he bought it...might even be totaled...

Sold a few on ebay.

1. Provide alot of detail.
2. Most important - pictures sell the car. Provide many clear upclose photos when the car is clean & tidy.
3. Make it clear that the car needs to be picked up and all transportation made by the buyer.
4. Have a deadline of when the car needs to picked up. (1 or 2 weeks)
5. Require a deposit via paypal of 200 bucks or so within 5 days of auction close.
6. Accept cash, or go to the buyer's bank and have them cut you a cashier's check in front of you.

My sister sold 3 different vehicles that we no longer were using . We had them on our ranch out in the desert. All were 4WD and fairly weather beaten, but in good running condition. They all sold for a couple 1000 more then we thought we'd get for them and all 3 buyers are very happy with their purchases. One guy turned out to live in the same city.

Another option aside from Ebay is craigslist.com. With ebay you have listing fees, final cost closing fees, photo fees and if you set a reserve you have a fee for that too. Try and post on craigslist and see if you get any bites. Most will be local buyers with cash in hand. What you sell it for is what you get in hand. I do small items on ebay with small out of pocket expense. Id hate to see the final fees for a 30k vehicle. Just my .02 cents
