Default Into the wild

Since the air outside this weekend is equivalent to sucking on an exhaust pipe, you all will be looking to kill some time since there's not much to ride. I highly recommend going to see "Into the Wild".

I hate to sound like a commercial but I saw this movie last weekend and my god it is good. Probably the best movie I have seen all year. Especially if you are someone who enjoys adventure. I'm surprised this movie hasn't been getting more press. Maybe due to the fact that there has been hardly any marketing for this movie. All the reviews have been REALLY GOOD. What's more incredible is that about 99% of the movie is a factual true story based on witnesses and a journal kept by the protagonist (Christopher McCandless). Plus I'm really digging the soundtrack which writen, produced, and performed by Ed Vedder. It seems to go perfectly with the vibe of movie.

SPOILER WARNING
More info and a brief synopsis of the factual events from the original novel adapted into the screenplay.

I dunno... it was ok. I guess the book ruined it for me. I thought it was terribly over-acted, with the exception of Hal Holbrook, and it ran too long. Ed Vedder's soundtrack was the best part.

I thought it was one of the most boring movies I have seen in years. The 2 friends I saw it with also thought it was terrible. The only thing interesting about the movie was the fact that was about a real person.

Movie critics tend to love stuff like this and they seem to decide before they watch the movie that they will like it because the story surrounding the movie is so interesting. The movie itself, however, isn't.

I read the book and thought it was pretty good so I'll probably check out the movie. Funny thing is, I haven't heard a middle of the road review, you either loved it or hated it.

I saw it and thought it was really good. I guess if you've ever thought of being a drifter you might like the movie.

I wouldn't mind taking two years off to myself and bike touring the US and Europe.
