I have been having this discussion lately w/ 3 of 4 teams getting swept in the Divisional Series this year

i would have say for myself , not make the playoffs . i kind of feel the year was a waste for the halo's .

Are you talking about the Angels or Lakers?

Oh wait..the Lakers actually won 1 1st round game the last two years...

no playoff as too heart breaking to watch your team go down in flames in post season. alos prob based on if they had a cahnce to get a good run at winning it all. if not and just backed in, maybe its time to hit the links for those guys

Think draft choice has more impact in sports like football than baseball when they are drafting kids in HS and sometimes takes years for a propect to develop in minors and consistenly contribute in the bigs,

okay, really rather have my team out of it so I can not be on couch but riding on dirt!

in black and white, i think i'd be happy with my team to make it as far as possible...even if you got spanked in the playoffs, at least you made it to the playoffs.

I was refering to ANY sport BUT the discussion was raised regarding the Angels playoffs this season...

Draft picks don't affect baseball nearly as much as other sports...

I have 4 goals for the Angels
#1 Make playoffs(win division or wildcard)
#2 Advance to ALCS
#3 Advance to World Series
#4 Win World Series

If they miss playoffs....season is a failure
#1 Good season
#2 Very good season
#3 Great season
#4 Nuff Said...they won the World Series

Goal #1 was reached so this was a good season...disapointing playoffs but good season

I don't understand your thinking....you would rather have your team be the D'Rays or Royals then a team that was competive....I don't know about you but I hated it when the Angels SUCKED for sooooo many years and finished dead last and was mathmatically eliminated before the All Star break....
