that if the Halos get home field advantage they can beat any team on the planet.

It would be hard for them to win a series in Fenway Landfill

Maybe this time I won't drink so damn much and will remember more of it too...

The loudest sporting event I've been to was the Angels/Red Sox a few years ago. Quite a few Angels fans are in therapy now, having listend to real fans cheer for the good guys.

PS I'm not kidding!

I was at Game 2 in '02. The Club level was moving a good two feet up and down. Absolutely insane game. Best sporting event I've ever been at. (had crappy seats but snuck into Diamond Club)

It was loud but the Ducks winning the Stanley Cup was damn loud too.

I am more of a hockey fan than baseball.

Default Trail of tears... old ones at that

When I went to my first Angel game, the Big A sign was out behind the left field fence and there were no seats behind any of the outfield fence. Jim Fregosi was the SS, not the manager and the team they played was from Washington DC... the Senators, not the Nationals.

Anybody remember when the Rams played in Anaheim and Georgia was threatening to move the team to St. Louis (which she eventually did) and they had those bumper stickers "Go Rams... and take the Angels with you!"?

Hopefully they won't get "Pierzynski'd" (by someone else of course since AJ will be nowhere near the playoffs) this year....

Or 1995 when they blew a huge lead (11 games) in August and get spanked in a one game playoff by..... Seattle....

And for those old enough to remember Gene Mauch pulling Mike Witt and Dave Henderson then homering to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in the 1986 ALCS. They were one strike from going to the World Series...

1982, they go up 2-0 on the Brewers (yes they were an AL team then) and promptly drop the next three...

And let's not even discuss the 1979 ALCS embarrassment....

Or when they had Joe Torre on the Angel payroll.... as a radio announcer! I would listen to those games and think, somebody ought to hire that guy as a manager...

The good news is that they have matured into one of the more respected organizations and I wish them the best this year. An Angels/Red Sox series with both teams playing their best would be a great, entertaining series.

Soon.... Very soon. It should be a good year too. The Ducks are going to have a tough time defending the cup and the Kings are heading for there 36th rebuilding year.

Donnie Moore....And for those old enough to remember Gene Mauch pulling Mike Witt and David Ortiz then homering to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in the 1986 ALCS. They were one strike from going to the World Series...

I cried for a week. Lost my whole damn paycheck that week.

I've been an Angels fan since 64.

Golden days. I got to meet Bob Boone and another time Rod Carew,. I also got drunk with Jim Fregosi a few years after he left the Angels.....Sat there at Mr Stox talking to this guy and we were buying each other drinks when somebody told us who he was. Blew me away, and then I was speechless.

I can remember seeing Nolan Ryan pitch at the A in the 70s (and seeing the Stones and ELO).
What I remember from Ram games is the monster beers (and hating Georgia).
Probably 40oz. in a plastic cup for about 3 or 4 bucks. There was this plastic ring that you dropped the cup into and then there was a cone shaped handle attached to the ring. They were strong, so you could stack the cones within each other and easily hold four or five beers in each hand while just holding one handle. There were no limits and no cut offs - we'd take turns being the beer run guy.

Saw the Stones there in 1978. Mick Jagger started to do some karate kicks and people started throwing their flip-flops and shoes up for him to kick away. And it was on. They collected 6,000 pairs of shoes and donated them to a charity. Crazy. Was that the show you saw?

I saw ELO there too. They had a spaceship dragged in by a helicopter and made it look like the spaceship landed on the stage and then another one on stage opened up and the band came out. Pretty hokey.

The best show I saw there was Boston, Black Sabbath, Van Halen and Sammy Hagar.

Aaaah, good times...
