Default Sand Sports Super Show, anyone going this weekend?

If so stop by booth 6110 and say hi.

If you have never been before it's a really cool show. It's unreal what they are doing with sand cars these days.

m-biking but is sounds like fun. What do you have at your booth.

I have been going to Glamis since the early 80's. Back then VW powered cars was all that was out there. Now the stuff is mind blowing.

I used to ride a CR500 in the dunes.....fun.fun.fun! Now it is way to crowded

I would rather be riding in UT for sure. But I'm hoping this show will do some good.
I make hose fittings and the like.

Yes, to run in the sand you need custom paint, 30" of wheel travel all the way around, leather interior, DVD in head rests, GPS in the dash. Did I leave anything out?

Oh, I forgot about the 800 ~ 900 horsepower. Gotta have that!

You forgot the asswipes-R-us attitudes.

Anyone know what the GPS is for, Comp's there, Olds it there, the wall is closed but its down this wash, beer I mean bordmanville is there, even at night... the Gold Mine is there, so I must be here.

Been going since 1976, I was 4 months old and I too miss the early years.

Some of those sand rails have nicer sound and video than my living room. It's really ridiculous.

I saw a guy get smashed in the face with a DVD player that wasn't properly secured. They came flying down Olds off of that lip at the bottom of the hill. When the rail bounced, the DVD player ripped open the passenger's forehead. It was nasty.

I miss the old desert days myself as well. I have been around it my entire life in one form or another hence my career choice. The new breed of offroaders is nothing like the old and thats truely sad. Nothing wrong with having a nice ride but the attitudes can take a hike. I remember going out and hitting the dirt for the entire day, bbqing at night with friends and camping out. Now, people go with $200,000 in toys and use them for 10 minutes then get piss drunk and start fights.

About seven years ago. That is when the “River People” started showing up. The people with the fast boats that hang out at the river……get sh!t faced and drive their boats really fast.

So in the Fall and Winter they take their meth /drunk fest to Glamis. Most have taken a 2nd out on their house to buy a $200K rail and go and shread it up.

Back in the day you could ride your two-wheeler or quad in the dunes without worrying about some idiot killing you. Fun times that I miss.

Oh yes, running blown injected with zommies out at Parker. The Lost Lake Fri & Sat night drags. 100's of people would be there. Live sex shows in front of Sundance. woot!
The lower river is still pretty good as far as old skool river and hot rod boats goes.

1987, packed and headed for Parker.
