Leg breaks sometimes just happen for no apparent reason. I was chasing down a guy on a fast break (basketball) and just running beside him and he just went down in screaming agony. Broke the big thick bone in his upper leg. It just snapped.

That Theisman video still creeps me out.

That happened to a friend of mine, which surprised me, considering the Femur is so strong. Turns out he had a tumor inside the bone which caused it to be weak. The doc said it is actually pretty common. I would guess that was the case with the basketball guy, since the Femur is really strong.
