I'd rather be climbing...

Basketball fiend here. For years I could not go 6 months without spraining/breaking/snapping/destroying my gelatinous ankles. I used to get out of bed each morning and hobble around for 30 minutes until they loosened up.

But, ever since I got back into riding last year, my ankles have been GOOOOOOD to me. Who would have thunk that the $$ I put into my bike did more than all the $$$ I gave my physical therapist?

Oh yeah, and Waldo's garage is like a shrine to all of his past hobbies--snapped surfboards and all.

I promise once I get back into the swing of working we'll get back out for a ride!

My passions are:

1. People: I love talking to people about life and hearing their stories. All of my passions somehow connect back to people.

2. Craft beer: Great beer brings people together.

3. Traveling: this goes along with #1 since new places means meeting new and fun people.

4. Cooking: I love cooking for friends and family. Sometimes they are rewarded with a great meal, sometimes they are guinea pigs on the road to something better.

Passions: my family; there is no other.

Not necessarily passions but hobbies, expensive hobbies

1- Cars, I LOVE cars I have been told that I suffer from Automotive A.D.D. I used to be heavily involved in the Audi/VW community. Built one of my best car, good enough to be featured in a mag.

2- Like some members I've dabbled; ok i was heavily in RC cars. Not so much now because I have other distractions in my life. But here's my RC 10T4

3- I love motorsports, F1, european sedan racing, prototype racing.

4- Snowboarding

5- Last but not least biking...I've rekindled my love for mtn biking.

George- Beautiful artwork, you are quite talented!
Duan- Nice Ride!!I also have a history with the VW love- used to be on the Vortex and have taken my Passat to Spring Mountain Motor Sports Park in Pahrump,NV for some track time with other VW/Audi folks (?hydrosport) Life has thrown me some curve balls, so I'm not really involved as before, but still appreciate!

Now for the list-
Hubby and Son
Mtb
Cooking/Baking
Travelling
People- I work as a physical therapist(hospital-based rather than sports medicine) and most of my patients are elderly, rather ill and frail. I love hearing their stories, and I feel we have lessons to be learned from them.

I play competitive golf. I tore my ACL and ripped my cartilage out of me knee a few years ago and since I starting riding my knee has felt this good since I hurt it.

I've been surfing for about 18 years. I used to compete at local events and even advance to one round before the main events with local pros in my heats!

I also got bit by the wine bug about 10 years ago...that's the only think that comes close to the costs of MTBing.
