Almost 2:00am, and it's 85-degrees in Calabasas. I'm actually looking forward to school on Tuesday, for obvious reasons.

I was getting drenched by the rain up at Snow Summit yesterday. Temps were in the upper 70s when we started, but dropped to the mid to lower 60s when it started raining. When we left, and got to Riverside, the temperature guage in my car read 115 degrees!!!!!!! Thank God for my air conditioner!

Man, that's quite a range to go through in a few hours.
Did a loop around Whiting today but did it a bit too slowly and didn't get back till 10:30. The radiant heat coming off my east-facing garage door & driveway felt like a furnace.

Took me a while this summer to get acclimated to the temps, but I'm getting there....just in time for things to start cooling in another month.

Air COnditioners are broken in all of my class rooms at school. Turns out the engineers don't want to fix the engineers a/c. Kind of lame. It probably is in the 90s in those classrooms later in the day. Really sucks especially after a workout or something going in to a hot room when you are already hot. I am going to bring a little table fan to class so I can have my own personal little fan to keep me a little cooler.

It sucked yesterday. A group of us left for a ride at 3:30 and it was 102.

It wasn't that bad and I dare say it was no hotter than low 90's.

Yeah, it could have been worse. I didn't think it was too bad either.

The mercury is reading 100 right now, and it FEELS like it. My cat wanted to go on the patio really bad, so I let him out...2 minutes later he's clawing at the glass.

Thumbs up Watch out for your pets in this heat please !!

I just got back from doing a few of my petsitting jobs and sprayed down all the dogs. Seriously watch out for your pets...fresh drinking water kept in the shade...misters...fill a small plastic baby pool for them to get in the 4' ones are perfect...hose them down and watch out for the smaller dogs with shorter nasal cavities such as boston terriers, pugs, shih tzus etc....they've been known to die in this heat due to breathing problems. (and remember the hot asphalt on their paws ) Thanks I know you all love your 4 legged kids.

Oh it's now 101 out here and 93 in my room no air conditioning in here. Can't wait to hit my buddy's pool later. Somehow it's just better with hotwings and beer!!
This is how the two spoiled dogs here get to stay cool all day....

We just keep ours inside, in fact they spend more time in doors then we do.
