Le Freak and I like it hot... I'm in Ojai for the weekend, it's supposed to hit 109 here, I brought my bike, I hope to get a good sweat on tomorrow!

Corona - 108 in the foothills (ontario & Lincolin) just took a dip in the pool....87 degrees YUK! it's like bathwater.

It's getting pretty dark though, maybe we'll see one of those summertime showers MN is so used to. Then it'll just be hot and humid

No Southish swell today. Locals said water temp is back on the rise. So maybe a south is on the way. Going to try a beat the heat ride tomorrow in Wrightwod, Blue Ridge Acorn Trails. I know it will be in the mid 90's but with tree cover and posibilty of thunder showers mabe it will be bearable.

We had a ride planned for Lake Hodges in Escondido (a good 12-15 miles inland) and Weather.com said it would be 91 at 3PM when we were supposed to start. We decided we'd try it out and see how it went.

We actually got a pretty nice breeze and it didn't feel anywhere close to 91 during the ride

Wow 100 in Aliso is pretty hot for there. Its pretty toasty here in AZ. Yesterday I head the Phoenix area set a record for having the most days, [28] over 110 this summer.

Good thing I'm going to Flagstaff this weekend to do some riding.

Nice and cool in the water today, loved it!

We were swimming with Seals and Garibaldi's. Then enjoying the "Scenery" and also caught some nice waves.

Thanks

As I was driving back to Anaheim Hills at 7PM I had to kick the AC back on in the truck, and it's still like 90 degrees out.

Good thing I'm moving to Dana Point

Mt. Elden....Good plan, see if someone can point you to Red Onion Trail (social trail not on map) and use it to climb the Hobit Forest over to Cat Walk...good stuff. Then decend either Little Bear or if you have not done it Sunset and Schultz Creek. Wish I was there, I like that Mountain better than South Mountain. Has been lots of rain out there should be lots of wild flowers....bring a camera. Matt, if you need a map e-mail me. dstepper@cox.net

Mt Elden reminds me alot of the Tahoe rides I did. I have not had time to search out "The Features" but I know they are there. Big Mountain with lots of little side trails....find a local...then send me the features scoop.

I'm loving this heat! I'm getting out as much as I possibly can on foot or bike or just being. Went to Palm Springs last weekend and did a hike in 100+ and heading to AZ next weekend for more hiking (bummed I can't take the bike ) - it IS a dry heat
