Getting back on the bike.
![]() |
Typically I don't share this information on the forums, as it is not the place, but since some of you know us and have asked as well as providing support, I wanted to pass this on...
After attracing way to much attention for screaming in my office here at Toyota Corp, I wanted to share the good news... As some of you know Christine (my wife) was diagnosed with Stage 3c Ovarian Cancer last year. She has been going through some tough times as of late as changes in chemo and various blood/protein markers (CA125) had risen back up. Huge emotional drain as things were going well. CAT scans showed nothing & PET scans showed "unmeasureable, unknown and inconclusive" stuff so a change in treatment was called for just due to circumstances... Now the good part! We just got news that this week her CA125 came WAY back down to well within normal levels. This has lifted spirits in our house and family as she was so close to remission status and is now back on track. Time is still needed to ensure things are going well, but I cannot tell you how we feel at the moment. To qoute Christine and give you an idea of what a strong willed and passonite person she is, here is what she said to her doctor... (and she is 1st gen German) "I got things to do, and people to take care of. If it is bad for the cancer, then that is what I want. Time to kick it in the ass!" Thanks for listening and being supportive. Know you also know why my time on the bike, and with SHARE has been very limited... but that's gonna change! Foxtrot, Uniform, Charley, Kilo - Cancer!

I can only imagine how great that news is to your family. It puts into perspective how fortunate we all are when we are healthy.

Good news for your family and wife. I know how the cancer thing can me. My mom just recovered this year from colon cancer. We were lucky that it was caught early.
