Default Chronic Tacos

I was stoked when Chronic came to town, this neighborhood really needed a taco stand. I hate to drive to Jalapenos or Taco Mesa, because Jalapenos is down the street from The Path, and Taco Mesa is across from Switchback, which means I can't get a bean burrito for less than $50. So I really wanted to support my Local Taco Shop. But so far I've tried the carne asada, the chicken, and the carnitas. And I don't like any of them. Am I missing something? Is there an item on the menu that needs to be tried before I write this place off?

you know the place that i love because of the authenticity is El Campion off del obispo in San Juan Cap...man go there on a sunday morning and there's a line out the door for things like carne asda, lengua, menudo, tortas etc and cheap too! it's a carneceria so they have great selection of stuff.

Me gusto menudo y lengua. I'll have to try that out after a San Juan ride. Thanks for the tip!

no worries! bring an empty stomach because their servings are generous...when i order carne asada soft tacos they usually give you enough meat to make two tacos out of !!! pure bliss

Yeah, I don't get the chronic taco hype either, but that's probably because I live in San Juan and I can go to Las Galondrinas, El Campeon, El Maguey, and El Molino De Oro. Or maybe It's a CHRONIC thang.

You all have to try El Picante in Santa Ana on Standard St. The real thing! Make sure you have cash and can order a La Mexican. No numero uno, dos o tres. Solo quiero tacos de...

Taqueria De Anda is bad ass. Love it. Another kick ass place in orange close to Tarueria de Anda is across from the post office on Chapman called Adobe Mexican Grill. This is my new favorite spot in orange. Can't be beat for quality and price.

I grew up in Santa Ana, going to places like Super Antojitos and El Gallo Giro and assorted random pupuserias & push carts, and the woman who came around selling tamales out of an ice chest she pulled with a Radio Flyer...mmmm.....

My wife grew up in Michigan. Jalapenos is about as authentic as she'll come along for...

In Orange, Tacos Jalisco is good. Inexpensive too. I havn't been for a while but you could get the carne asada taco combo and a Corona for $5 and be the only guero in the place watching World Cup on the TV.

Chronic Tacos is OK but not great.

My office is in Orange above Mustards and I have to say that Adobe is the bomb. I go there a couple times a week. Everything seems to be good there.

As for Chronic... Grilled Shrimp Baja Style, make sure you get all the fixings like cabbage instead of lettuce and so on. The baja sauce makes the burrito not so dry. Worse case scenario... make your self good and hungry before you show and you will like it all.

we;; me and my buddies go to the crhonic tracos in newport almost everyday after our surfing session and we all have agreed that the chronic taoc in newport is way better then the one is tustin/orange. everytime i go to the one in ornage they dont know what there doing or how to put the right amount of toppings, and also it can taste bad if you dont know what things to put in jur carna asada buritto.
but i still love chronic taco newport!
