foofighter: as easy as it is to think that i like foofighters the musical group. The name actually came about post WWII when pilots were reporting flying red orbs shadowing them. They thought at the time that they were Russian experimental plans so they coined the term foo fighters. Since i'm into things like x-files etc the SN has stuck on just about every forum i'm registered on.

Took mine from the lyrics of a Jimmy Buffett song...jason mason was an expatriot living in out in some jungle town in the Congo. Just kinda liked the sound of it.
Jimmy Buffett songs are a great source for screen names, passwords...and inspiration for drinking!

Given to me by a good friend while out 4wheelin' I fixed his CB with a lighter and a pair of scissors... after that "mcgyver" stuck. Mainly though, I just like fixing things... the 0302 is my tech number at work!

I'm not really sure.... I showed up at an LBS with my brand new Top-o-the-line Gary Fisher, and they invited me on a "little ride" (12-15mi. 2000ft). They just kept sayin' "C'mon Fred, you can be a Mtnbikerfred!!!

Y'know, they waited for me at the top of every climb that day, just long enough for me to catch my breath, suck down some goo, and down we went. It was hard, but I kept going.

Somehow, the name stuck.

the BR is for my favorite band, Bad Religion. The punkRock is for my favorite type of music, and I have just used it for all my general screen names since the dawn of the internet.

I got my nickname at the first restaurant I worked at. The older cooks thought I looked like Pugsley from the Adams family and eventually it got shortened like all words in a kitchen.
