Haha, background:

I worked in the industry for 10 years while trying to get my undergrad degree. It's taken forever (10 years!). I finally quit my job in March so I can just do school...best decision ever. I'm looking forward to closing this chapter in my life, but I love school. I can't imagine not continuing education in some way...

Besides that, there's nothing like hanging out on campus during the warm months

Yeah. I did full time school + work for a year ... everything suffered. Work, school, home life, etc... not worth it.

I remember those days. I worked full-time during the day and went to class full-time at night. I even had a small consulting company on the side. I sold that after a few years. I just need time in the day to sleep.

As the poster child for ADD, I traded one busy schedule for another after grad school. I still work full-time during the day and teach part-time at night. (sick huh!) Although I do more class work out of the classroom with course prep and development then in class. An average work week for me is about 80 hours depending on the time of year. Between that an our first kid my schedule is usually filled.

Started Monday - I'm taking 12 units at Cal State Fullerton and working 40+ hrs a week. I like to whine and complain, but at least my job picks up the tab for tuition!

BOOO Civils get a thumbs down. Stop designing poor structures that fall down (like that bridge over summer).

I started at Cal State Fullerton last week. Two 14 hour days and two 10 hour days. Lots of time spent at school. Add in the time I have to spend doing homework, which ends up being all day saturday and sunday. Add in time I try to spend riding my bike/swimming/running and I have almost no free time. Then add in the time I have to spend with my girlfriend and my whole schedule gets messed up. I don't work during the semester (I am lucky), but I never have money so my time spent on the bike goes down because I can't replace as many parts that I always break.
