Robin.... If so, I've got a T shirt you can buy!

Alright... I'm at the far end of the bell. My 66th is next month (d*mn it goes fast!) ... My body thinks it's 35 but my wife thinks I act 10. I don't hang out with other seniors... nothing in common except collecting social security (and that ain't gonna last much longer). Thank God I found biking, climbing and boarding to keep me sane!

38! Why, that's the prime age for mountain biking! The fastest classes in Sport XC racing is 35-39, followed closely by 40-44. When I was 43, five years ago at the Nationals at Snow Summit, my lap time was faster than any of the 18-24 year olds. So rejoice! Not knocking the youngun's, but maturity and a steady lifestyle sure can help one excel at this.

45.

I hate getting passed on climbs by those that are older than me even though it happens all the time. I feel better though when I occasionally get to repay the favor to the younger pups.

As of last month, 39 on the outside, but still a 15-year-old punk-a$$ skater on the inside. I just carve and launch on two wheels instead of four now ... and pay the hospital bills myself.

Nope, all part original. no modifications necessary, but sometimes after a long epic ride, my left knee and lower back feel like I'm 80.

I hated it when he'd fly past me. Then I got older, and meaner, and learned to chase Shinken. Now I'm broken and can't wait to climb the ladder again .

Well...the elderly are prone to broken hips. Be careful out there!

Hey, I know, she could come out and race DH with us. :-)

I tried my hand at XC racing, I am not fast enough on the climbs, but you never know, maybe I will have to do one just for fun. She should do the Mt. Sac Fat Tire Classic on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007.

Did she join STR too?

35 and I always wonder how long I can keep mountain biking for.

There's an older gentleman that I see at San Juan often on Saturday mornings that climbs up to Cocktail Rock and comes back down - with armor on legs and arms. My guess is that he's over 60 (sorry if you're here and actually younger!).

There's a lady I ride with often that is in her 60s too. Talk about an inspiration...that should mean I still have a good 25 years left (I hope)...

Their is guy I used to play rugby with that is still playing and he is in his mid fifties. I remember being tired and beat up in a match and watching Warren make crazy tackles and playing hard. I am thinking I am half his age and I need to suck it up and start playing.
