Allright Ron, here we go, with Dusty, Aosty, MTB Fiend, Joe, Pain Freak and even Tortuga (don't feel left out, if I didn't put in your name!). We've almost gotta organize another SM 72 Flog, I mean Gathering.

I propose a vote for a one day event, followed by dinner or a campout this fall.

I believe a Friday, would be very good for the one-day'r, as there's hardly any hikers out there in Sully, Backbone, Broken Arrow or anywhere else we'd like to bomb the flying ferp out of.

Or we can do the Leo Carrillo deal-e-o and I'll bring my multi-color killer clown wig. and sing Kumbaya around the campfire.

Cool I think I know all the words to "Kumbaya ", now.

My favorite was the OC72, still have the shirt.

Thanks, Ron. It was brutal and for a while I was really disappointed to go so far and come up 500 miles short. But that's life sometimes. It was a great adventure.

I have a long writeup with pictures coming in a week or two. Should make for an entertaining read.

Welcome Matt! Looking foward to the story. I'm sure there's a lot you haven't told us yet.

OPP, it's going very well. I'm racing again and now have had a girlfriend, who is not only my riding partner, but racing her first year too! Naturally, I've got to spread the disease. I'll go check out your Great Divide writeup, when I have a chance. I remember your writeup on the Brianhead 100 epic (that was a good one!).

November, huh? We'll be setting some rides up. Bring da' bike!

Well I wasn't on that Mt. Wilson area ride that day, but I am in the SM 72 picture.

Joe, nice to hear you are still riding. I wasn't so sure how long it would last after your back problem.

Great memories of that site for me as well.
Learned of a lot of great trails, rode with a lot of really great people, and laughed most days that I read the goings-on in the forums.

SoCalMtb got ugly towards the end, but it had a really fun run for a while.

Hope to bump into some of you in the future,
-tep
