guero, did you get any Longboard Lager at Beek's? I brought some in my cooler that was in Gene's truck. It was nice and refreshing after that long climb.

That would be a lot of money to spend for a bottle of really really bad beer.

$2K is a great price for a 155 year old beer. It will probably go higher though. Some beers age really well, but I doubt this bottle would actually stand up to that age. This is a showpiece, not for swiggin'!

I have some bottles of 2002, 2003, and 2004 Stone Old Guardian Barley Wine. These beers have aged quite nicely.

I also buy several bottles of Fuller's Vintage every year to age. That beers is delicious fresh or with age.

Strong beers can age well, but not 155 years well.

Humboldt hemp ale is a favorite also their red nectar. Anchor Steam, Boddingtons is good. Most Pyramid flavors are nice.

I went there today and it is an awesome store, the owner Joe was totally cool. I got a couple bottles of Great Lakes, I was so happy I called my dad and told him.

I've been saying that for years and people think I'm crazy. But they both give me an instant headache.....but if you like it..just enjoy

btw...why/how would someone have only 1 favorite with so many variables?
-weather
-food
-location
-people your with
-mood
-how much you can afford
-who's paying
-many many more

Just find a few dozen you like and keep trying more! (or make some)
