Default This definitely hit the spot tonight...carne asada tacos

wife picked up a package from Trader Joe's; yes Trader Joe's and it was surprisingly really tasty.

Top this puppy off w/ freshly made guacamole and you are dialed in. I totally spaced out today when I went to the store to pick up some corn tortilla and forgot the quintessential part of this Mexican meal...BEER!!!! Anyway, thought I'd share the meal my wife and I had tonight. I love cooking and experimenting so you'll see some random posts from time to time that's food related.

If you want to try different eats, clink my link below I do random restaurant reviews as well and post it up on my blog.

Actually Trader Joes has some really good guacamole too. Try it and you might just stop making it.

I can't compare it to what was served at the STR BBQ, but TJ's Korean Bul Kogi is pretty tasty too.

Trader Joe's carne asada is awesome - the kids love it. Ditto the guac! Two weeks ago, the LA Times rated tortillas - the first five spots were all hand made. #6 was Trader Joe's house brand.I have a pal who is in charge of off-site food production for a few of Trader Joe's products (among others). He's been very vocal about the quality of Joe's products vs. others' cost-cutting crap.

well this speaks volumes for their food product because as you know flank steak can be pretty tough and theirs is really soft; even left overs the next day it was still soft and juicy.

I like your blog, you will have to come review the restaurant I work at, it's called Napa Rose and is in the Disney Grand Californian Hotel.

We are not a little place, being as we are part of disney, however I do think you will come back. We have been the highest zagat rated restaurant in the OC the past 6 years and we were just named the restaurant of the year in the oc. Let me know when you are coming and I may be able to get you seats at the chef's counter, you can basically sit in the kitchen it's pretty cool.

that would be hot! thanks for the offer! I enjoy photography as well and love to take pics of the staff working hard in the kitchen so that would be a great write-up photo shoot opportunity.
