Just another slacker.

What were the cars? Make, model, year? Sucks if you got your car broken into. I had a similiar experience, someone smashed my rear passenger window to grab my friends FAKE Louie Vitton bag. I was pissed cause I was driving an old Datsun (before Nissan) 200SX and I was parked between a BMW 3 series and Caddy. Go figure.

random act then, sometimes your property is in the wrong place at the right time for someone that's pissed.

here's the wicked part- both Jeep Cherokees. both with tinted windows to answer Gene: wrong place, wrong time and Foo, you're probably close. these cars were parked in the Queen Mary parking lot in Long Beach. the smashed jeep was probaby due to some drunken idiot getting thrown out of the bar at last call and wasnt happy about it. here's the dose of Karma that he got when he saw inside the smashed rear window: a baby car seat. fvcking azzholes.

now, the wifey and I have both had the back windows smashed on our cars. here's the interesting part: back window on a WRX waggon: $750 back window on a Jeep: $145 shards of supposed "safety glass" in your hands? priceless. Quote:
because Jacobs ignitions require smart people, and, let's face it, when most people get behind the wheel, the IQ level seems to decline.

Good observation tho... The passenger side window of my car got broken on Christmas Eve last year. They took an empty Dell computer box I had in the back seat. First off, it's Christmas Eve. Give the kleptomania a rest on Christmas, k? Second: They still took the box. They ignored the sattelite radio reciever, stereo, etc but still took the box. Thank god for stupid crooks |

It is true that small windows cost more. That small window on my old Mustang cost me something like $200 or $300 thanks to some punk who wanted my $125 leather jacket. It would have been closer to $500, except I got used glass, and the installer knew how to pry that rear panel open without having to dismantle the entire pillar. Lesson learned: Leave nothing in plain site in your car. NOTHING. I'm crazy about not leaving anything in sight now. I'll even put a blanket over an empty box. |
