Default Anyone checking out the new Bass Pro Shop in Victoria Gardens this weekend?

Looks like they've got a big sale going on for their Grand Opening. Lot's of fishing equipment and I think Sunday's special is a Coleman 100qt cooler for $33.

They even carry Iron Horse bikes! It's gotta be a great place if they carry the horse.

I might need to buy a GPS system just to find my way out of the freakin' store.

I think I will wait until the craziness dies down and check it out in a month or so.

A few of my buddies from the Dark Side went last night to a VERY busy opener. Average wait was 45 minutes. Every register was opened and 20+ deep with customers. Absolute joy compared to Turners. One friend was staffing the CWA booth and had 4 hours to set up and tour before the hordes arrived.

I'm going to give it a few weeks, than take the wife for a little (nah, a LOT) shopping and dinner at the inside restauant.

Just talked to one of my coworkers. He tried to go but the freeway ramps were blocked and the traffic was insane. They waited 45 just to get off the freeway and turn around to go home. Few things are worth waiting in that kind of wicked traffic with all the crowds.

Hmmm. Bass pro shops stock Iron Horse, eh? Looks like IH is a step away from Wal-Mart if you ask me. If that doesn't scream quality, then I dunno what does

I say the store refects upon the bikes, not the other way round.

Just got back as it's right down the street from home. This place is awesome. Lots of great deals, and so much stuff to see. I had to park a couple blocks away. I didn't buy anything as I can't handle the crowds. I'll be back after it thins out a bit. The aquarium with those huge bass is worth the trip in itself.

They do carry bikes, but these are not "real" bikes. IMO one step above Walmart type stuff. Not real Ironhorse stuff either, but knockoff. GPS units are cheap and the store was stocked really well with people buying like mad. I'd already bought my one person tent for my vacation, but they had some killer deals. I think this weekend will be a zoo, so I'd give it a couple weeks.

I went there last night. It's an incredible shop for the outdoorsman, but not the biker. As stated above, the bikes are low end. So much to see and buy if you're into those type of activities. Definitely a place to check out if you're in the area.

I went in looking for some guitar strings. I feel like such a goof. There's no musical stuff in there at all!

Is this the new one off the 15 in the Cucamonga area? Its an Outdoor World right but owned by Bass Pro Shops? There is one in Vegas and its one of my favorite places to stop at every time I am out there.

If it's anything like the corp. hdqtrs in Missouri, it's going to be a madhouse for a VERY long time. The Springfield location had tour bus stops for god's sake.

I know, I was making fun of the Horse being offered at a camping/fishing/hunting shop. The one in Vegas is incredible. If it wasn't for Ann draggin' me out of there, I would have spent all day in there.

Default Hope that store is in Heaven!

I have been waiting for that place to open!!!

Me and some friends have been planning a trip over there to check it out. You can easily spend the day there!! I have been to the one in MN and love it.

It is for the outdoor person though I wouldn't go there thinking there is some cool bike section. But there is a ton of other interactive things to do there.

Can't wait!!!

Ohh man I forgot that they opened this weekend and I was at VG on Saturday too. I need to get some camping supplies. So that's the one cool thing about living in the IE, right?

PS: Andy, Ann's not showing you the love on the fishing gear....What's up with that? Hahaha....love to fish.
