Default (NON BIKE) home insurance with dog???

sorry for lame off topic post but been going crazy researching homeowners insurance and running into issue as we have a Rotteweiler and apparently alot of insurers won't underwrite with certain dogs in household.

Anyway, sounds like a few on board have some big pups - anyone have a "listed dog" (pit bull, chow, doberman, Rott, etc.) and have home insurance that they would like to share name of carrier.

Thanks and who could think this girl could do any wrong?

I work for the Auto Club(AAA) and I can write a home policy with any dog. The only thing you will have to sign is an exclusion stating we will not cover any claims resulting from the dog. Our home policy is actually very good as well, but we can go over that later. My direct line is 949-823-3828 and my name is Lucas

Yup what ^he^ said. I have a Rotty... though the biatch is a mix[Akita] my home builder's lender told me that I potentially could have problems finding home owner's insurance, so we went with AAA.

Check your PM, I sent you my agent's info. She didn't see a problem with the dog unless it was specifically trained for attack. She even increased my renter's insurance to cover my sporting equipment.
