Cool Stupid iPhone!!

Why did I wait in line for this thing?

Does Stevie and Apple think that pretty packaging and a nifty black bag would make this product cool?

Does the fact that this thing really doesn't feel too much larger than my CrackBerry Pearl make a difference?

YOU'RE DAMN RIGHT!! I'm waiting for this thing to sync all my stuff as we speak!!

My wife told me that there were pople camping out at the Victoria Gardens store today. Good luck with it. Keep us updated on how it's working out.

No camping out was allowed. I rolled by Victoria Gardens after our Fully Loop ride and they had security guards shooing people away. They didn't allow anyone to start waiting until 8:00am.

They were pretty cool and took some pictures for me while I was there.

I got in line at the Victoria Gardens Apple Store at about 2:30pm. The store opened at 6:00pm and I had my iPhone inhand at 7:30pm. They've got plenty iPhones...

The nay-sayers can keep on talking because this is the most gorgeous piece of electronics I've ever owned. And I buy a lot of crap...

Just tell me you didn't buy an iPhone just to have an iPhone.

I am up in Seattle on business and went by an AT&T store at around 3:30 and there were 3 security guards hanging out talking to one another. The line up did not start until around 4:00 when I was leaving the store with a case and car charger for my Crackberry Curve. Work pays for it so I am staying with it.

Enjoy the new toy...

There's another reason to buy an iPhone?

The ooohs and aaahs of the people around me is enough.

Oh yeah...I heard it'll help me get more chicks, so it's worth a shot. The ladies don't seem to be impressed with my riding so I've gotta figure out another way.

CeeDubb, you suck.

Now, can I look at your iPhone.

I'm a mac fanboy. I absolutely think the iPod is the best piece of tech I never knew I needed til I had one. I can't afford an iPhone right now, but I'm getting one as soon as I can. I switched to Apple back in 2000 after using Windoze for 10 years, since the Windows 3.1 came out. I never looked back. My G4 tower that I bought back then is running very well even 7 years later. Try that on a PC, huh?

Enjoy that iPhone, you lucky bastard!

I hope it doesnt scratch up all to hell like every other apple product I dont know anyone that doesnt have to put a case over their apple products to keep them looking nice, I can see iphone cases selling like mad!

I am waiting for the next gen Ipod to have the flip screen for widescreen movie viewing then whats the point of having a 600 phone with shitty AT&T service?

I sure hope its not glass (think about that one)

I am wondering did they put a lock button on it like on the ipod so when you put the phone in your pocket it doesnt start calling people?

My thoughts exactly but I am pretty sure that I read it somewhere.... I think that we need clarification from the owner of this phone on this matter

Hey I am syncing my music to my new 8GB iPhone as I type this! IT IS AWESOME. Got it from the Apple Store in Manhattan Beach baby!

PS. I waited in line exactly 1h 15 m too! Got to the MB store at 7:30, was out with my iPhone at 8:45! I feel bad for all the people that waited 3+ days for it.

Walt Mossberg and other testers have thrown the phone in their pocket along with keys, change and other items and say the thing still looks like new. I got a holster for it anyway.

I've always had great luck with Cingular/AT&T. I'm switching back to them from T-Mobile and I couldn't be happier. I'm looking at my T-Mobile CrackBerry and my iPhone and I have no bars on my CrackBerry and full bars on my iPhone. Your results may vary.

Like I tell everyone. The iPhone ain't for everyone. That's why we have the wonderful choice to NOT get one. I'm having good results so far, but I do have a few gripes.

What are the gripes if all we hear is how good it is then it makes us think its what people are hiding

Does it have a lock out button? That was a worry of mine when I played with one at CES I didnt notice one.

Dont get me wrong I hope its the best phone ever. I am addicted to my Ipod thats for sure. I just dont care for singlebar service

The phone only accepts inputs from a bare finger. Besides, there's an onscreen slide lock you have to activate to access the phone. I also activated the passcode.

The glass should be fine. If you're rough with your phone, you may want to look into a good case or even another more rugged phone than this...

Not judging at all here honestly, but that's a lot of damn $$ to drop on a phone.

That's like saying that a computer is only a typewriter.

I kind of agree though - lots of dough for a phone/pda. But nobody can deny how cool that thing is!
