Kobe wants to be traded.....what took him so long to figure that one out?

he actually has wanted a trade for years but the lakers wont have it. they will never let him out of his contract and why would they he is the reason that team has any chance of making the playoffs every year. i hope he can do what he wants but the outlook is bleak!

This team is terrible. Kupchak has got to go. He invested big $$ in a bunch of soft perimeter guys who don't play any defense. Brian Cook? Hmm I liked you better when you were Sam Perkins. Smush Parker, jeez have you ever showed up for 2 games in a row. Radmonivic? Jeezus, Lakers should have voided your contract when you got hurt walking around errr.. snowboarding during all-star break. Sasha Vujacic?? come on now. Odom, I love your game man when you shoot more, but we all have to admit that you and Kobe just don't play well together. It's scary, that Luke Walton was probably the most critical guy that made this team go last year.

And then there's Bynum. I know you're only 20 and we really shouldn't expect anything from you. Not everyone is an Amare Stoudamire. But you're our only tradeable asset because nobody wants any the other guys or their contracts.

So, heck, if Kobe wants a trade, trade him. Just make sure you get a ton of talent back. Real talent because he's probably the best player in the league, and scary in the clutch, but even he can't win with this lot.

Oh, and btw the way, thanks to genius Kupchak the Lakers were still paying 15mil/yr for Brian Grant last year.

yup, i agree. is it really a surprise he takes so many shots per game? walton still looks like he is scared and panics whenever he gets the ball. brian cook can't play for 2 minutes without racking up 2 fouls. kwame brown seems to lack any really explosiveness. there might be some hope for bynum, since he is so young still. odom is really the only other veteran out there, and even he can't consistantly play a solid game.

He is a ball hog but when the rest of your team BLOWS ARSE you need someone like that to carry you. He is probably one of the leagues best players with little support. He would do better elsewhere or the Lakers need to buy some support!

KObe cannot get ot of his contract until the end of the next season. We all know that once Kobe gets his trade he will be traded to the East. I can see Detroit going after him. I know my boy Mark Cuban after his early playoff exit is P.O.ed and he said he would pay anything for Kobe, but I really doubt the Lakers would let him go their unless they were getting a killer deal like Dirk and Terry Allen together.

I think mark would pay 30m a year for kobe. make him even more of the leading salary winner in the league. sad thing is thatll just mean more and more bitching from whiney overpaid players wanting more because someone else is getting so much.

I wouldn't take Dirk. Until one of these Euros with their perimeter game leads a team to the championship I'd say negatory to that.

This team needs a point guard. Triangle offense or not. They need a guy who can penetrate and distribute. We've all seen the rest of these guys outside of Kobe and Odom can't create they're own shot.

The sad thing is Kobe has been threatening to leave for years but in reality he is probably just doing it so the front office will make some moves to get him help. His was of trying to blankmail them.

. He was given a Championship team that he has managed to trade away for nothing good in return

Kobe is a very talented athlete but he's no MJ and never will be. He's not a complete team player and not a players player on the court or in the locker room. Basically, he's an arrogant pompous ass. If he wants to go then good riddance, Kobe. He hasn't done jack for the Lakers in the past 3 years so who cares. Scoring titles and 81 points in one game means nothing without a championship. I do wish Buss held on to Jerry West and gave him more control over the team. He was brilliant as a GM in LA. Why ruin a good thing and let one of the best in the game walk? Dr. Buss has a HUGE ego and will not render control. That's going to be his downfall. Kind of reminds me of Al Davis. Stubborn old farts who refuse to change with the times.

what you all need to understand is that Kobe is a little bitch that no one else with real talent wants to play with, THAT is why he is surrounded by mediocrity.

as a laker fan since birth, send him packing, we should have gotten something for him long long long ago.
