97.1 anyone?

at work or when i ride, ive been listening to this station all day, from 645 or so to 1630, then off and on till 2200. i originally began listening because i heard adam corolla was on there, now i listen to the whole day minus john and jeff @ 2300. anyone else listen to the station? i think frosty heidi and frank are my favs, but thursday's conway and whitman "what the hell is jesse jackson saying" is a close 2nd, and leykis is always entertaining...

Leykis is pretty much the worst radio I've ever heard. And I've listened to a lot. At least Howard Stern is funny. Leykis just makes me feel bad for him that he's reduced to that level.

I was advised to listen to Leykis some months back - he was pretty funny but generally the guy's advise was pretty crap and biased towards being a mean ba5tard.

That's the station I listen too...I only can handle Leykis once in awhile. I think he makes sense for the under 30YOM crowd.

Anyway I won tickets last week to join Danny Bonaduce for a BBQ on Calalina Island this past w/e. Now what kind of luck does a person have to have to actually win tickets then the place you're going to party @ burns down. That really sux! Mang it was an over nighter too.

I guess they are going to reschedule for the summer some time.

yeah, leykis isnt funny, but hes def. entertaining, esp. open friday's. i agree somewhat with his views, but not most of them. hes got some truth's to him, but its all context dependant. horrible luck CC, have a lil black cloud over you all the time or what!? ltmq. atleast they can re-schedule.

i stream it at work all day...there is the hour between 2pm and 3pm where they replay one hour of frosty/heidi/frank which kinda lags, but other than that, it beats listening to the same ol' iTunes all day long. i used to listen to the jon & jeff show every night before bed.

he's an aqcuired taste but i've drank the cool-aid on occassion. I think i like Rome is burning better than his radio show. Seems to repeat himself over and over on radio. Although some of the caller takes rock. Still think was a d!ck in Evert interview years ago and he should have gotten a real beatdown not just table rocked

Leykis is funny and he makes good points but what I hate about him is when he gets a caller that can debate him pretty good he just talks over them and really will not make it fair for the listener calling in.

I listen to Adam in the mornings, yep I'm driving on the stinking 91 fwy and hear that "welcome to another exciting listening day". I often listen to Leykis on the way home and for the most part his advice is spot on. Don't date chics with kids, don't get married, and never spend more than $40 on a date!

I mean, to each his own, whatever. My wife was a single mother when we met. And, while I will admit that being a step-parent is a stupidly hard job, at the same time, I kinda can't imagine my life without that woman. Not to mention that I'm glad that I can be there for her girls since their bio-pop is a *&%$#@!ing idiot then that kinda makes my life a little more worthwhile. And, all I can say is that I feel sorta bad for people like Leykis (assuming he means what he says which I actually think he doesn't on account of it's a radio show and he's an entertainer and people like that say what they say for ratings, not truth). I mean, I don't think there's anything wrong with being single. Nor not having children either. But, I'm unaccountably happy about being married and having kids. My wife certainly pisses me off sometimes and my kids can drive me crazy. But, I wish I could express what it's like to be married to her. It's not like I'm empty without her or that I'm incomplete, but rather like I have a partner and our business is living. And, in the middle of the desert, on a long stretch of dark highway, with the radio on, she's the one I want in the passenger seat to talk to. And, the kids... when I walk through the door and the boy looks up and yells, "Daaaahhh!" (he's one, give him a break) and the little girl sprints over to me and hugs my legs, well... I wish everyone had something like that in their life. Because I know I did something right to make their lives better and that's why they're glad I'm around. I don't know what I will accomplish with the rest of my life, but at least I know that I made the lives of my kids better by being their dad.

But, yeah, if working with others, treating women with respect, self-sacrifice and stuff like that gives someone the heebie jeebies then Leykis probably does give good advice.
