Wow I feel kinda of Bad

OK here is the story, I am a huge Star Wars Fan I will admit it, in fact I even have a Star Wars tat on the back of my leg. Well I also collect vintage Star Wars stuff and new collection stuff as well. In fact I have a storage unit full of the stuff. Anyways to make a long story short, today I actually sold some of my Star Wars stuff and the reason was because I am using the money for yup you guessed it bike stuff (saving for a new bike). I would have thought I would have never done this but I have done it. I did this because well I am looking to get married in about a year from now and well saving for wedding and my new addiction, something has to give. I do all right for work but ahh with living in SoCal I can't afford anymore to keep collecting Star Wars (putting money in George Lucas's pocket) anymore and mountain biking. I feel funny I feel kind of sad . I have chosen Mountain Biking. I will always love Star Wars. Have any of you had to make decisions like this?

I am a mechanic and I had to start buying Craftsman instead or Snap-On to offset my bike build costs.
I think for this next build I am going to give up eating.

I gave up my love of turbocharged BHP and slightly insane road racing for mountain biking. I still love cars and still remember bracing myself as that tacho needle passed 3500rpm but the only major G-force I now feel is in my memory. RIP RS Turbo *sob*

ps: I think I saw you dressed as C3PO coming down Rock-it last weekend. Nice outfit man, you msut pick up girls like crazy in that!

but i did give up time that i could be doing chores or finding work to pay for my biking gear
now i ride weekends instead of try to get money
my priorities are out of order =)

Well, I consider myself a surfer (23years) and I've only surfed twice this year. Gotta get my 2-3 days a week in on the bike. For me it's how do I spend my precious limited time.

So I was in the closet Star Wars fan. Oh don't get me wrong I will still go to comic con and this year baby we are going to have celabration 4 in LA. I have to make this pilgramage. Same here, except it's now 30 years for me (zoikes!). I'll no longer refer to myself as a surfer, since I haven't surfed in 6 months. The last time was just before I moved to a spot where I can ride out of my garage and be on trails in a few minutes. Now I'm a mountain biker who also knows how to surf (sort of).

Planning to sell my 35mm Nikons and my David Clark headsets, since I no longer shoot film and don't fly anymore either. Those sales might just cover my last couple visits to my LBS.

Why do I love the expensive hobbies? Why can't I just settle for knitting or dominoes?
