Sound system for my truck??

anyone know of any good places to get new speakers/ installation. i've ehard BEst Buy isn't a good choice. so i'm asking for your personal experiences and opinions of anyplace in the south bay thanks

I used to be into loud stereos too. Now I'm into listening to my ears ring 24/7 from the damage I did, and it sucks.

I'll 2nd it: Save your ears and get the wheels. 30 years from now your friends will be deaf and out of shape and you can do a smug victory dance in front of them, even though they won't be able to hear you going "Nyeah Nyeah Nyeah!"

haha maybe i should. my dad is willing to drop some coin into it, so he can blast em when im not around to drive. i've arleady about blown them, and since i need me some metal when i cruise. i may get some cheapies to support my music, and get me some dee's for around $500

Before you buy some cheapies at a retail store, check out some decent speakers at:

If I was on a budget I would put some JL Audio TR series in the front doors and an Image Dynamic sub or a JL W3V2 sub. Those speakers would cost less then 300. Spend some coin on the amps, all watts are not created equal, and buy more amp then the speakers need, that's called headroom and it's a good thing. Use whatever is in the back of the truck for rear fill, if they're blown disconnect them and don't use any rear fill. If you need any advice hit me up. I'm glad you started this thread, it's reminded me how bad I need to put my system back in my truck. Listening to metal through a nice system is heaven. Just do it.
