i have to write a personal sonnet
erghhhh!
its gay i cannot write poetry to save my life... and its like 14 lines and 10 syllables each line about what an ideal love is... anyone wanna help or have any ideas? i already thought about some websites but i have to submit it through email and it gets checked for plaugerism

lol i remember those as a freshman...i've learned that when you need to write poetry, just let your mind wander and the words and stuff will come. just let you mind roam and write down your thoughts. btw i'm a Jr at mira costa...where're you?

Dude, if your teacher won't allow you to write a sonnet about your bike then I think she should not be allowed to teach poetry. Write a sonnet in the proper form about your bike or favorite trail. If you don't get an "A" I will be shocked.

as long as it meets the criteria of the peom, you should be fine. just write from the heart(wow that sounds cheesy) and you'll be fine

Definitely English is quite a bit about how good you can BS, in writing. I should know, I graduated college with a degree in it (English, not BS).

That being said, English is a MUCH better subject in college than it is in high school. HS English does kinda suck.

But, as mentioned, write about your bike, or a trail, or a place you'd ideally love to go Ideal love, true love, etc can be about or toward many different things. As long as you're passionate about it and do the poem correctly.

For your english, work on a broader range of adjectives beyond "its gay." You can take small steps, like some have done on STR, and eased into using "ghey."

And while we're on english, "its" is possesive (Since its start, mountain biking has been one of the most non-ghey sports) while "it's" means "it is" (But some might think it's ghey). Sorry, not trying to be jerk, just figured it would help you in the class. And it's my pet peeve.
