LB Grand Prix madness!!!

So I wake up this morning to the sound of Champ Car Atlantic engines echoing throughout the city, instant goosebumps! As I drove downtown, the excitement grew greater and the transmissions shifting and backfiring grew louder! Then I made a right turn into our parking garage which is across from the Convention Center and the sounds grew softer, but I can still here them from my desk! How bad ass is that?!!?!? The crappy thing is, I cant concentrate on work really because I want to be across the street watching! I'll head over at lunch though, we can also see a stretch of the course from our 6th floor balcony.

Me and my g/f are gonna try to make it down tomorrow to catch some of the action, anyone else heading down?

Give me a 20,000rpm F1 engine over a champ car motor any day of the week, although turbo engines definetly rock more than NA motors!

I'll tell ya, a blown injected big block chevy based engine @ 8,800 rpm sounds pretty nasty too. At least mine did when the injector hat was 2' behind my head.

But yeah, not much is more impressive then anything F1. I watched a MOV clip of one on the dyno and it was unreal.

just got back. dave mirra won the celebrity race under a red flag. george lucas pulled some bonehead move by trying to streak by on the inside of turn 1 and couldnt brake in time and got clipped and spun, then got nailed by someone. kendra wilkenson crashed around lap 6 or 7 and when i was leaving she was walking with her entourage in the same crosswalk as i. the sounds really are amazing, you can feel them inside your body, i love it!

Sound like you raced drag boats...my dad owned and I crewed for "Final Effort" a TFH back in the 90's

The race was awesome the ending was unreal shit the almosted finished under a yellow. Bourdais won but Tagliani and Servia raced an amazing race. Rahal is dead to me now...Ok and I need to know what a good program is to size down my pictures I have a ton of great shots but I need something that will size my pics down better than Photoshop or if anyone knows how to do it quickly in photoshop let me know
