Default Another Dead Body on Fullerton Loop

My boyfriend (Cowboy) was riding the loop this a.m. and where the trail drops into the tracks, under the Harbor bridge, at 8:30 a.m., the cops were there with a dead body under wraps. There was an arm sticking out. The cops just got there.

O.K. that's all the news that's fit to print.

Wait what do you mean another? Have there been more bodies found at FL?

Default Body found at Fullerton Loop today.

Just an FYI, the train track section of the Loop prior to the golf course is closed due to a police investigation. I talked to a few people who said they found a body down by the bridge area, but I don't have anymore details. Anyone know what happened?

With all the accidents and deaths, we should now call it the Fullerton Memorial Loop

Hope there was no foul play. My wife will put a stop to my solo nite rides.

Did the Loop this morning too. Around 8:30 I was heading under the bridge towards the golf course when I was turned back by the Police. The body, or what appeared to be a body, was lying on the north hill side. Haven't heard anything on the news yet.

Someone has created a memorial to James Wernke near where his body was found past the tunnels. Each day more items are added like an old pair of shoes & letters. He seemed to be an upright guy with a promising college baseball career. A picture from my cell phone.....

I think you were one of the people I talked to today, you were sitting by the tree waiting for your ride and I was getting in my car.

I find it strange that there is still no new news on this... typically OCR is all over it by now but there's still nothing on their website...

This is really weird. I stopped at a friend's house in Fullerton this evening and it turns out that another friend of mine is the one who found the body at 7:30 am when he was running and called it in to the cops. It was an 18 year old boy. He had his name on a bracelet that was issued by Saint Jude Hospital. I'll refrain from saying the name since it's not out yet.

Very sad to hear he was only 18 years old. So glad we rode later today. How horrible to come across something like that. Was it Bob L. who found him?

Now its getting strange. My thoughts were a homeless person , or someone being dumped from a car off Harbor Blvd.

Geez ,now what? A kid escaping from the hospital falling off the bridge? Or to ill to survive the night?
The news would be all over this one if the kid left the Hospital.

It was Steve Wright who found him. He said that it was really upsetting because the kid was so young and all. The cops told him that they were familiar with the kid.
