    In the spirit of what CalEpic has done in the past I offer up the following;

    To help raise money for the Southwest Community Center shelter that burned down (http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lano...chen-fire.html) I wanted to give some money. Knowing how many people on STR both care and LOVE beer I have a charity bundle.

    What we have here is a vertical of Double Bastards and a Sawyer's Triple. The vertical is as follows;
    2005 Double Bastard
    2007 Double Bastard
    2008 Double Bastard
    2009 Double Bastard
    Sawyer's Triple

    I do not have the 2006 Double Bastard so the Triple can take it's place. While you can still buy the current 2009 Double Bastard, the others are no longer available for sale (unless a refill at Stone..if it's on).

    It's quite a tasty little treat to give to someone for the holidays while the money spent goes to help restore some holiday spirit elsewhere.

    Starting bid is $50 for all 5 bottles..so list it here in the thread or PM me. Auction goes until Sunday night. I will meet the winner if you're in O.C./Long Beach. Shipping is possible, but at your expense. I'd love to get money to the shelter ASAP, so let's get it rolling!!

    MOD EDIT: MERGED THREE POSTS TO KEEP ALL THE INFORMATION IN ONE

    **update** a generous donor as ADDING to the brew list...
    Stone Vertical 07-07-07, 08-08-08, 09-09-09 and a bottle of Life and Limb (Dogfish/Sierra collaboration). This brings the value of the beer well OVER $125 or so. Get a friend to pitch in and have a hoppy holiday..

    There may also be a few more brews added. And your donation to the center will be tax deductible!!! Keep the bidding going!

    The current bounty is as follows; (scroll through the thread for photos)

    2005 Double Bastard
    2007 Double Bastard
    2008 Double Bastard
    2009 Double Bastard
    Sawyer's Triple
    Life and Limb (Dogfish/Sierra collaboration)
    Stone Vert 07
    (2) Stone Vert 08
    (2) Stone Vert 09
    Stone 11th Anniv
    Stone 13th Anniv

    13 tasty bottles

    Oh wow! I have to tell my mom! Back in the mid 70s my mom used to volunteer there once a week. She would bring food and help in the kitchen, and she would take me with her. I was about 4 or 5 at the time, but it's one of those things you don't forget.

    Good for you for trying to help them out!

    I'll go $60 and I'll take a hard look in my cellar to do something similar. Great idea.

    For those of that haven't had Sawyers there's a great story behind it and if you're a fan of Belgian style beers (think bubble gum) this is a great beer.

    Life & Limb is a great beer. It's harder than just about any beer outside of The Bruery's Black Tuesday to find at this point. Winter is about the perfect time for this beer since a cold afternoon ride, followed by a shower, a fire, and a bottle of this beer could arguably be called the best day you'll have on earth.

    Bid it up! I'll break the $100 bid mark now. Who's up next?

    I already have most of those beers along with SN Bigfoot '05, '06, '07, '08 & '09. I also have my homebrew Barley Wine from the same years.

    This is a great thing you are doing raising money for a good cause
