looks good

isn't it based on true events or something? Like it really happened way back when?

Three of my artists worked on 300 for director Zack Snyder (Mark Yates, Richard Bennett and Adam Forman), same director that did the Dawn of the Dead remake.

Here is some early concept work...

Does indeed look good - but I'm worried about it being a bit too stylised.
Sin City 2 is in the pipes apparently George

I agree, saw the trailers at the theater...very impressed with the graphics. The movie is very dream like and surreal...not filmed like any other film I have ever seen. Different in a Sin City kind of way.

I think it's kinda cool. I mean, it's not like it's history, per se. It's based on history, but so much of that time period is so long ago that it's really more legend than anything else. So, I think it's cool that they're taking liberties with it. It looks really cool.

On a side note, my high school mascot was the Spartan. I always enjoyed our alma mater, "With our shield or on it, is the code of our Spartan men, and you'll tremble at our warning, we'll return again!" Awesome. I will see this movie as soon as I can. Probably on DVD. I only get to see one movie a year. I have kids.

I've been on the Netflix program for about 3 years now. Love it. Of course, it kinda blows when it takes awhile for the movies to get to you. Meaning, I just saw Xmen 3 and Superman returns last night and tonight. But, on the other hand, I'm not paying $30 in late fees any more. woot! Netflix is okay by me!

Man, those Spartans were some tough dudes. In todays world, I'm sure they'd be mountain bikers.
