For the first time ever I walked into a Gym and actually worked out., yeap, worked out. Yikes !!!
Long overdue session, a back that's starting to look like Quasi's, age creeping behind me at a flogs phase. I won't let them bend me nor catch me any time soon., so B's to the rescue. For those of you that know me, then I'm easy to recognize, the guy with half body, some legs but not much else (well, not counting the Pot Belly), yeap, that's moi. Half to noon, not knowing what to expect when I arrived, small towel on one hand, a Gatorade on the other and some tunes to rattle the noggin's. What would I find ?, perhaps, Meat heads ?, Girlie man's in tight's ? Testosterone crazed she-mans ?. Nope, non of those around., just Machines and your average Joe's burning up those spare tires., that and more Machines, all sorts of odd looking ones, some you pulled on, some you pushed on and some others I had no idea how to use them, it was an exercise in it self figuring what to do., hahaha. So, started slow, very low resistance, almost no weights to speak of as I'm not looking to bulk-up, just to be a bit more fit, expand upper body horizons and wake-up some muscles that I never new I had.. Concentrated in upper area, lower back, abdominals and some others that yet to know their names. No cramps, but did manage to hit that beloved 184 beats per minute mark that I usually achieve during those sweet mountain biking riders of ours., not knowing if good or bad, as charts claim my maximum being a mere 177 bpm's, heck I pounded some hills at 196, dizzy, tunnel vision induced but heck, been there. Three hours later, sweat dripping down my face, a bit of trembling upper body, with a whole lot of self indulgence that accompanied that grin from hear to hear as I drove away with the top down, upper 70's and sunshine on my face. All I can say is wow, well worth it, I''ll be back again, at least 3 times a week. Jacuzzi awaits and I'm please to dip. So 'til next one, your un-weakling thy. Freaky franky ![]() |

Frank, you will be able to rail those berms harder and lean into corners if you remove the training wheels. I know you have got us to them, but it is time you dump them. Then we will come to SM and ride with you.
