I'm a jr. at Mira Costa but I have an idea of what I want to be ...I'm thinking a Structural Engineer or an Architect...not totally sure yet but I'm leaning towards being an engineer. At the moment I work for my aunt up in San Jose during breaks and pay for my bikes/car/paintball/ etc. Anyone know how the riding up in Cal Poly SLO is? That's the school i wanna go to

That's what I'm talking about! Plus, with tenure, they can't ever fire us for any reason whatsoever. Right?

I have been hating my job lately....WAY too much work and my riding time cause of it has been down to maybe once every other week. Any job can run you ragged I suppose.

Good news is that I made an offer to somebody yesterday and it is a pretty good salary for somebody who is gonna just have to get my coffee for me so I hope they accept.

Once I get some help and get back to riding all will be good again.

What's up everyone, I returning home soon.

Let's see I'm currently a Federal Agent with the Dept of Defense. I normally investigate contract fraud (white collar/public corruption); however I’m authorized to investigate felony that affects the Dept of Defense and I also serve on protection details for senior members of the Dept of Defense.

I went to Cal State Northridge for a year, hated it and dropped out. I joined the Army and served for 8 years. While in the Army and finished my degree and was accepted into my current agency as an active duty service member. I investigated soldiers committing felonies such as murder, rape, etc. I then left the military and accepted a civilian position with my current agency. I am currently trying to get accepted into a Computer Forensics program within my agency.

Thats it

education is overrated. if you were really smart you would have just got the PhD off of ebay for a fraction of what that school of yours is charging you.

haha! they pay me 20 bucks an hour ... and I only have to teach every other year (20 hours per week), because research fellowships support me on off years. so who is the smart one?

ps - they also pay my health insurance and my tuition ;p

I’m an Applications Engineer for a company that sells CAD/CAM systems. I mostly work in the “field”, that is, at customer’s sites to help them implement technology. I’ve been doing stuff like this for many years (~24). I guess I would have so say I really like it. No days are the same and I’m always faced with new challenges. I can look around any room and find products that were designed with the software we sell, including many bikes and bike components.

With that said, if I could have a do-over, I would want to be either a Fireman or a Philosophy Professor.

A do-over... Hmmm...

I may not be old enough yet to say what I would do if I had a do-over. But, I don't think I would change much. It'd be nice not to owe so much in student loans, but...

Overall, I think I'd do it the same. I have a pretty good life. Who knows what changes would make other changes. I couldn't take the chance of missing my wife and kids.

Default Fine.....I'll play...

For the last 10 years have been a Certfied Welding Inspector - "CWI". Basically just a fancy name for quality control officer. Generally inspection performed on steel framing for state funded buildings.....IE: schools.

For fun I work at a bike shop in the afternoons......see my avitar or my signature below. Helps fund my bike habit.

In a nut shell: Like many I started by using my back to make money, twenty plus years working in the woods as a logger and a truck driver. Back to college at age 40 then let my mind make me money. Last few years a have let my money make me money = semi retired. I work part time as a Court Liaison, doing alternative sentencing and I have a small investment bussiness that builds and sells houses in Prescott, AZ. This current setup alows me to work half days and I can take the weeks off for MTB road trips.

If I was to do it again I would have stayed in college when I first started at age 18 and completed my Forestry degree. Now if you put a POST (Police Officers Service Training) training with that you can have a excellent carrier with the Feds and maybe live in a killer area.

I have a friend that stayed in College and he makes a ton of money counting salmon for the feds. Lives up in Humbolt County, bought a 1880's homestead with a old log cabin on the edge of a meadow and...BIG trees!
