Default Michael Jackson tickets
I registered to "win" tickets. Not sure if I'll go if I win.

From the OC register:


LOS ANGELES — Michael Jackson fans can register for free tickets to the entertainer's public memorial service at Staples Center by going online to staplescenter.com, while others can watch from home, organizers said today.
The memorial service is set for 10 a.m. Tuesday. Organizers offered few details on the tribute itself, including the format and who might perform or speak.
Organizers will provide 11,000 tickets for the 20,000-seat Staples Center and another 6,500 tickets for an overflow crowd at the Nokia Theatre, where the event will be simulcast on large video screens, said AEG President and CEO Tim Leiweke.
Fans have until 6 p.m. Saturday to register at the Web site. A computer program will randomly select 8,750 names to receive two tickets for one venue or the other, he said.
Those selected to receive tickets will be notified between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. Sunday, and will be given a code to use at the Ticketmaster.com Web site, which will give them further instructions on where to go Monday morning to get the tickets and wristbands enabling them to enter the venues, he said.
No tickets will be available at Staples or Nokia, and no tickets will sold, he said.

I dont get it... he was the butt of everyone's child mollesting joke not too long ago, and barely anyone thought he was innocent. Why is he being honored so much now? He had some good music back in the day, but i wouldnt support him. Even if he wasnt guilty, he is still a VERY strange person.

If this numb distracted society would wake up and memorialize the ones that deserve respect and praise our soldiers airman corpsman and (marines) michael Jackson did not contribute mountain biking either.

that's one hell of a good point. i'm not military, nor am i from around here, but it blows my mind how disrespectful military people are treated around here.

I certainly hope no one thinks I am honoring him by trying to get free tickets. I think he is a disgusting person and people who worship him are idiots. I doubt I'd go but it would be cool to have tickets. If I sold them I'd give the money to a children's charity like Orangewood.

Eh, my little brother and sister were in Orangewood for awhile and it aint that great. Also one of the so called victims said it was all a lie just to scam money, regardless of the truth or what we would assume it to be Moonwalker was one of the best videos ever.
