I ride with a shuffle also, albeit the older USB stick one. I thought I wouldn't like it because it doesn't have a screen or I can't choose the song, but in reality it's been great. When you're riding, you're not gonna reach for the ipod to change songs anyways. The best part is, it's cheap so if I fall and break it, no big deal. BTW, I usually buy the refreshed (returned item) Apple ipods. You can get them at a pretty big discount. I won't buy the refurbished since it's been fixed.

Two words. Apple Care. Get it. It's cheap and it's saved me twice. It pays for itself. Personally, I'd by refurbished because it already broke once and has been fixed. What are the odds it will break twice?
I love my little 4G 20GB, but man, I need a bigger hard disc. I can't wait to get a new iPod. 80GB sounds real nice right about now. I don't know how you live with a shuffle. I like to go deep into my collection. Well, that and I hate listening to music ripped at less than 256kbps. Okay, 192 is okay, I guess, as long as it's AAC. Mp3 sucks ass. In my humble opinion. ![]()

Im with Sprocket. No need to pay out the butt for something im just gonna break! No screen and no hard disk means less breakable parts! Besides, after losing a 2g Mini (which actually held up nice with the alu case) out of the car
, im going for disposable.Honestly, the only reason i even bothered with another apple is cuz i was way to lazy to convert all my music back to mp3! ![]() Oh yea, and when you need to "dig deep", you go home and put new songs on the shuffle! Still beats a CD player! |

As for the small space of the shuffle, it's actually just right. Last weekend I spent 4 hours on my bike and I never heard the same song twice. You can use the autofill feature in iTunes to change out your songs for each ride. Easy piesy. |
