Default Technomarine Watches

Anyone know of local place (LA or OC) that sells Technomarine watches for cheap?

I'm looking for the Technomarine Cruise series:

I'm looking for the real ones, not the HK fakies...

Did you try the store locator on technomarine.com?

I don't know anywhere that sells expensive watches for cheap! Otherwise they wouldn't be expensive

That said, they look pretty sick. I miss hands on a watch.

I did--but those listed are the high end jewelry stores which I am avoiding. The intarweb got lots of those but theres an inherent risk that I could be buying a HK fake.

Has anyone seen this at outlet stores like Cabazon or Camarillo?

I don't understand the watch thing, I fail to see how what is on your wrist, feet , on in the driveway matters in the long run.

A non-cyclist will ask you:
Why bother with a Cervelo or Kestrel carbon road frame when you can find a carbon frame from Chuck's Bikes for $50?

It's all in the details and personal tastes.

This site may seem legit but I think a lot of stuff on there may be fake. The fact that they claim to have Breitling watches is all I need to come to the conclusion that they are shady. Just look at the Breitling home page.

Could be. Most of the good deals I've gotten on watches (online or otherwise) have been gray-market imports (usu. through Israel, I suspect). Warranty can be an issue with these.

Like I said, my wife's Techno checked out ok. But past performance is no guarantee of future success. Caveat emptor.

Those Festina watches look sharp! But why under $200? How durable / reliable are they in terms of daily wear? Do they scratch easily? Shine and luster on the metal parts fade fast? Metal bracelets loosen easily?

I mean a watch is a watch but you do get what you pay for.

ive had my fes for a year, wear it every day, no problems. i do beat it up, it is scratched, but it hasent broken, and ive destroyed more expensive watches in less time.

I'm a watch guy, not really a collector or a snob, but someone that appreciates mechanical watches. The fact that someone, or a group of people hand crafted all of the little gears, springs and balances to make something work fascinates me. Same reason I love my custom steel and ti bikes, and even the same reason I can appreciate a complicated dual suspension bike.

Watches are one of the few things that men can wear that are close to jewelry, but not quite as silly as a gold bracelet or an obnoxious ring. They're largely redundant in our times, but a nice reminder of the skills of a few remaining people to make fascinating mechanical devices.

Not sure if you can find this particular brand there, but I bought my Tag in the jewelry district in downtown LA. Saved me a ton of ca$h. It wasn't an authorized dealer so if it ever broke there would be no factory warranty, although the vendor I bought it from included their own.

There's a little risk involved but I agree with those that bought gray market (out of the country from non-authorized dealers). I saved $1500 on a Rolex that way.
