If you post more in the Pub than you do on bike related subjects, please take a breath and spare the rest of us your random thoughts. This is a mtb web site that just happens to have an off-topic forum. Not the other way around.

hmmmm its called the pub... and as with pubs everything and nothing gets talked about in it.... Thats why there is a pub....

I don't see how it causes problems when people post random stuff or even if they just like to post random stuff and read about bike stuff some times.

I mean its not like..

"The Pub Only for some stuff that kinda doesn't pertain to bikes. Only to be used every once in a while in moderation."

Its..

"The Pub Put your legs up, grab you favorite brew, and just hang out. Off topic."

I hope I'm not speaking out of line but I believe he's referring to ratio. Seeing as this is a biking site the ratio should greatly be leaning towards biking not the other way around.

Edit: personally not a fan of the Pub just speaking for myself only I'm here for biking information. No biggie. I mark them mostly read anyways or don't read them. The "mark forums read" is a great feature.

I agree. I find it annoying that so many people choose to either post irrelevant information for an MTB community and/or derail threads with total nonsense. If it were up to me I would allow nothing other than ride reports to be posted in this pseudo-Utopia

I agree. I would rather read about a good ride than have to sift throught a ton of crap about a bad day at work.

Or why not just pull Pub threads off of the main page?

Let folks make the effort to GO INTO the Pub to enjoy their refreshing libations, but keep those threads in there only.

I think the great thing about this site is its diversity. I'm continually amused at the wide variety of posts here... and yes I dont' like or agree with some of them, but I rely upon the moderators of this board to insure that certain standard are met. If I don't want to read certain posts, I don't open them. That's my choice and that is cool.
